Q: What is the average cost of a funeral?
We are around the national average of $6,000 for a traditional funeral service, but offer many options that are even less or more expensive, depending on your family’s wishes. We will work within your budget.

Q: Is embalming required?
Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law in the state of Wisconsin . Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

Q: Does Maple Crest Funeral Home, Inc. have a crematory?
Not at this time. We do, however, offer a full line of cremation services. Our cremations are handled by a licensed funeral director and crematory operator.

Q: Can Maple Crest Funeral Home, Inc. conduct services for people outside the Waupaca community?
Of course! If desired, funeral arrangements can be made in the comfort of your own home. Visitations and services can be held at your home or local church or other facility.

Q: Can everything be held at the funeral home, including a luncheon?

Yes. Our two chapels are each equipped with their own music and microphone systems. Following the service, everyone can gather in our lounge area, which has a full kitchen area, for a luncheon.
